HOW DO THEY DO IT?

The bulk of my astrological approach and technique is rooted in traditional Hellenistic and Medieval astrology. The branches of astrology I am most specialized in are natal and electional. I began studying modern astrology in 2017, and quickly made the transition to studying more traditional astrology after a few months. I have been a student of and continue to learn from, both directly and indirectly, Chris Brennan, Kelly Surtees, Kirah Tabourn, Demetra George, Samuel Reynolds, Gray Crawford, and Drew Levanti. My technique is as follows:

  • Generally, I use the whole sign house system. With this house system, the Ascendant is placed in the first house of the chart. The entire 30 degrees of the sign that the ascendant is in becomes the first house. Then, the entire 30 degrees of the sign that succeeds the ascendant becomes the second house. If your ascendant were at 4 degrees of Cancer, then the entirety of Cancer is your first house, the entirety of Leo is your second, etc.

    • Occasionally the Regiomontanus house system will be considered when looking for elections.

  • I use the traditional rulership scheme. With this kind of rulership, only the seven visible planets are given domain over the 12 signs of the zodiac, which are prescribed as follows:

    • The Sun as the ruler of Leo

    • The Moon as the ruler of Cancer

    • Mercury as the ruler of both Gemini and Virgo

    • Venus as the ruler of both Taurus and Libra

    • Mars as the ruler of both Aries and Scorpio

    • Jupiter as the ruler of both Sagittarius and Pisces

    • Saturn as the ruler of both Capricorn and Aquarius

  • The outer planets--Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto--are considered when looking ahead and using forecasting and predictive techniques.

  • As far as forecasting and predictive techniques, my main focuses lie in Annual Profections, Decennials, Solar Revolutions, and transits.
